Attendance Calculator

Enter the classes you attended and the total held so far. You can see exactly where you stand against your college's requirement.

Your attendance is

60%

Attend the next 30 classes in a row to reach 75%.

How attendance is calculated

Attendance % = (classes attended ÷ classes held) × 100. Many Indian colleges and universities ask for at least 75%, so that is the starting target here. Change it if your college uses a different figure.

If you are below the target, the calculator works out how many classes in a row you need to attend. If you are above it, it shows how many you could miss and still meet the target.

Example: 30 classes attended out of 50 is 60%. You would need to attend the next 30 classes in a row to reach 75%.

Attendance: common questions

How do I calculate my attendance percentage?

Divide the classes you attended by the total classes held, then multiply by 100. For example, 45 out of 60 classes is 75%.

How many classes can I miss and still have 75% attendance?

It depends on your current numbers. If you have attended 45 out of 50 classes, you can miss the next 10 and still have exactly 75%.

How many classes do I need to reach 75% attendance?

Enter your numbers above. For example, with 30 out of 50 classes, you need to attend the next 30 in a row to reach 75%.

Does this include medical leave?

No. Colleges treat medical leave and other exemptions in their own ways, so ask your department how they count them.
